As of April 20, 2024, Hai Phong has 951 active projects with a total investment capital of $29.97 billion USD. Within industrial parks and economic zones, there are 547 projects with an investment of $26.3 billion USD, while outside of these areas, there are 404 projects with an investment of $3.67 billion USD.
The total foreign direct investment attracted across the province from the beginning of the year until April 20, 2024, reached $285.74 million USD, with the following breakdown:
30 new projects were registered with a total newly registered capital of $227.20 million USD. Among these, 20 projects within industrial parks and economic zones accounted for $211.02 million USD (97.88%), while 10 projects outside of these areas amounted to $16.18 million USD (7.12%).
14 projects underwent capital adjustment, with an additional investment of $56.03 million USD. Of these, 8 projects within industrial parks and economic zones saw an increase of $18.3 million USD, while 6 projects outside of these zones had an increase of $37.73 million USD.
Investment through capital contribution, share purchase, and contributed capital amounted to 9 cases, with a registered investment capital of $2.52 million USD. Within industrial parks and economic zones, there was 1 case with a registered capital of $0.01 million USD, while outside of these areas, there were 8 cases with a total registered capital of $2.51 million USD.
