From March 18th to 21st, the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) led the largest delegation of businesses to Hanoi since the upgrade of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Senior executives from 52 US companies will hold meetings with leaders of various ministries and key stakeholders to reaffirm the commitment of the US business community in supporting the Vietnamese government's efforts to promote diverse strategic programs, including digital transformation and green conversion to meet carbon emission reduction commitments; enhance Vietnam's position in the global supply chain through infrastructure improvement and manufacturing capacity.
Leaders of US companies operating in information technology and telecommunications, financial services, logistics, manufacturing, energy, aerospace and defense, healthcare, consumer goods, agriculture and food, investment funds, and many other sectors all seek to continue exploring opportunities and potentials for investment in Vietnam.
Leading this year's Senior Executive Business Delegation is Mr. Ted Osius, former US Ambassador to Vietnam and Chairman of the Council; Mr. Michael Nguyen, National Director of Boeing Corporation in Vietnam and Chairman of the Vietnam Committee of the Council; and Mr. Vu Tu Thanh, Deputy Regional Managing Director and Head of Representation of the Council in Vietnam.
